Why Hasn't Jesus Christ Returned Yet?

I am sure many of God's professed people are wondering why Christ Jesus hasn't returned yet. This world has been in turmoil for some time now, and it is just getting worse and worse. What is God waiting for? What is He waiting for His people to do? There are many different types of Christians in the world today. But unfortunately, not enough who   do   the express will of God. There are those who focus on the 'grace' of Christ Jesus, thinking that they can continue to live a life of worldliness and sin, and forget about keeping the law of God. There are those who focus on the law of God, so much so that they forget about the grace of Christ and think that their works will save them. Then there are those who truly accept the grace of Christ, AND strive to keep the ten commandments not to be saved, but because they love God. This is commendable,   BUT   this has become the   only   focus of many of God's people today. They have become very insular and ...

TRUE WORSHIPPERS

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Jesus said ... 'But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.' (John 4:23-24) I’m sure we all read this verse before, but how many of us actually do what it says? Do you know how to worship God in spirit and truth? Are you sure God accepts your current form of worship? church, we are living in the end times of earth's history and satan is doing all he can to deceive God's children and cause them to compromise their faith. But if we worship God according to the Spirit and the truth of His Word, then we will not be deceived by the ev...

THE DAY OF THE LORD – THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST

At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the holy One of Israel.   (Isaiah 17:7) And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. (Isaiah 25:9) Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that speak; behold, it is I. (Isaiah 52:6) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (Isaiah 61:2) Behold the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. (Jeremiah 23:5) I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. (Daniel 7:13) Sing and rejoice, O daught...

CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY

The word "glory" carries with it the thought of honor and dignity--sometimes also that of brightness, shining. The Scriptures speak of the Heavenly Father as having the excellent glory, that glory unto which none others can approach. Our Lord Jesus is said to have been received up into glory--honor and distinction. Of Adam it is said that he was "crowned with glory and honor," was put over the beasts of the field, the fowl of the air and the fish of the sea. (Psalm 8:5-8; Genesis 1:28.) In this connection the word "glory" seems to indicate that Adam was made in the image of his Creator.  Applying these same thoughts to ourselves, we find that as yet we have no glory. What blessing we have received is the possession of the Holy Spirit, the evidence of our adoption into the family of God. This, however, is merely the beginning of the glory which God has promised to those who are faithful--merely the earnest. To have the Holy Spirit in us is to have...

The Rapture Theory

There is a teaching today that is rife within the Christian world, called the rapture. What is the rapture theory? It is believed by those who hold to this theory (and there are MANY who do), that the "church" will be raptured away to heaven and then the earth will continue for a period of seven years (called the tribulation) in which the inhabitants of the earth will be plunged into a time of great trouble and strife (more so than now). So according to this teaching there is a separation to take place between the saved and the lost, BEFORE the end of the world. In this teaching we are also told that Christ will return in two "phases". The first will be a "quiet" affair with the saints being raptured away. And then the second phase after the seven year tribulation will be the "glorious, triumphant" return, which according to this teaching, will usher in the 1000 year millennial reign  on earth  (which is also a false teaching). An int...
